I love knowing what my friends’ favorite things are. Wanna know why? Because they all have great taste and are really smart. If they like it, it must be good, right?
A couple of weeks ago, I introduced you to my friend Jill. (If you didn’t have a chance to read the blog, it’s still there! Just click here.)
I asked her about a million questions, which she graciously answered, and I didn’t want to throw it all at you at once. Like the great food Jill’s been known to prepare, sometimes you need to take your time to really savor!
Today, I’m posting more about what Jill’s favorites are…because, like I said, my friends are smart and have great taste. And I’m just nosy.

Favorite Scriptures
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. -Hebrew 12:1-2
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. –Isaiah 40:31
Her Heart
When I asked Jill if she had done/tried/begun anything new since she turned 50 she said,
“That was over 10 years ago for me! I try to be more mindful about how I spend my time. I am intentional about being open-minded and accepting. I try to show more grace and compassion. And I always work on being a better listener.”
Now I ask you, what more could you want in a friend?

Just love reading your blog, Tracey! I am inspired to use Hebrew 12 for my next devotion with the quilters at church. Keep up the good work.
