Meet Me in the Garden to Brighten Your Soul

May 24, 2022

I’m not a gardener but, oh! How a garden refreshes me, revives me, fills me with wonder of our Creator. I recently had the privilege of touring some gardens in our area that are simply magnificent.

There was so much beauty I could hardly take it all in. Today, let me treat you to a peek at some of the details that go into a truly gorgeous garden, some of the things that stunned me with their beauty.

My pictures don’t adequately reveal the grandeur of these gardens, but you can get a taste.

“Everything that slows us down and forces patience, everything that sets us back into the slow circles of nature, is a help. Gardening is an instrument of grace.” May Sarton

“When the world wearies and society fails to satisfy, there is always the garden.”
Minnie Aumonier

“The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul.” —Alfred Austin

“Gardens are not made by singing ‘Oh, how beautiful,’ and sitting in the shade.”
Rudyard Kipling

My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece.” —Claude Monet

I like gardening—it’s a place where I find myself when I need to lose myself.”
Alice Sebold

I hope you were inspired by these lovely gardens. I was. In fact, I even bought a couple of plants and am keeping my fingers crossed I can help them thrive.
