Inexpensive Ideas to Stuff Your Littles’ Stockings Full of Fun

December 6, 2022

Santa visits all seven of our grandkids at their homes in Birmingham and Charlotte, but ChiChi and Pop can’t resist stuffing their stockings when they come to visit at our house! I have the best time gathering little goodies throughout the year. But the bulk of it comes from one of my favorite stores–Dollar Tree!

Take a look at some things I’ve found this year. I’ve included links when I can. All you have to do now is click and, voila, your stockings can be stuffed too 🙂

Truth: Sugar + Kids = Crazy.

But, their parents can deal with that. We’re just the grandparents. Right? No stocking would be complete without some sweetness…Candy Canes, Ring Pops, Cherry Yum Diddly Dip, Razz Apple Magic Dip, Peppermint Crunch Junior Mints, and Snowman Gummies. Yes, please!

These cute board books are the perfect size for little hands. I got them at Dollar Tree but I don't see them on their site. Here are some different ones just as cute. Just click on the picture.
I love these darling Christmasy sippy cups, complete with lids and straws. It seems like we go through lots and lots of cups when everyone's here! Click on the picture to order some.
We found these fun kaleidoscopes at a shop in Nashville. The link on the photo will connect you to something similar.
I wish you could see these notepads in person. They have a cool 3-D look. Adorable! Click on the photo for the link.
I still have the urge to play with yo-yo's and show off my (simply incredible) skills. You're a click away from snagging yours...click on the photo.
My grandmother must have played pick-up sticks with me a thousand times. I'm willing to do the same! Click the photo to pick up yours (see what I did there?)
What kid wouldn't think these nose pencil sharpeners are fun? The only way they could be better would be if the shavings came out the nostrils! Click the pic.
Remember mood rings?? They change colors with your moods. Every little girl deserves to know what she's feeling at any given time, right? Click the pic.

But Wait, There’s More!

These sock caps are super cool. They have rechargeable LED lights  that pop out when you want to wash the hats. Perfect for this time of year when it’s dark by 4 but the kids aren’t ready to stop playing. They’re at BBQ & More. These scented pens are another fun option you’ll find there.

If you still don’t see something you’d like to stuff your littles’ stockings with–and don’t mind spending a tad more–don’t miss Uncommon Goods. I got some exploding hand soap (there’s also exploding body wash), and was tempted to get a lot more!

In the Olden Days

When I was a kid I always got an orange and an apple in my stocking. I think our grandkids would look at us like we were crazy if we put fruit in theirs!

Do you remember what you got in your stockings as a kid? Do you still fill stockings for your kids and/or grandkids?
