No, I’m not a day late. Yes, Valentine’s Day was yesterday but some of us true romantics think the week (at least; maybe the month) should be devoted to all things L-O-V-E. And nothing gets me in the love groove faster than a good love song.
I’m happy to share with you some of the greatest love songs of all time. Do they rate a spot on your Favorites List?
My Top Twenty-Something All-Time Favorite Love Songs
Here I go again…claiming to have favorite love songs, claiming to have a Top Twenty-ish List. But I know the moment I press Publish on this post I will think of a million more. And who wants to read my Top Million List? Too much. Overkill.
So, as I skimmed through other people’s lists of their favorite love songs, I only snagged the ones that brought me an immediate reaction. Either I started singing the song (to myself) immediately or I felt of wave of sweet nostalgia.
I pulled from my entire life, starting with my birth in 1960. I spent a fair amount of time researching love songs all the way from 1960-2022. Nobody’s come out with a love song I love since 2016. Or, maybe they have and I overlooked it. I cannot claim to have done exhaustive research…only “a fair amount of time” a.k.a. “Plenty” or “Lots” or “Enough Already.”
Before you look, try to guess a few of my highly-rated songs of amore! (And tell me what I’ve overlooked!)

Agree or Disagree?
I want to hear from you either way!
You might notice some big names that are absent…well, there are a few very popular artists whose love songs get on my nerves for one reason or another. Keeping this positive, though!
Love. Music. My Lifetime Soundtrack. Why would I go and say something that’s not positive?
Hope you’re humming something right now–in a good mood way not in an earwig kind of way.
Keep those love songs coming!
